Permanent Magnet Materials & Grades Dashboard

JOC LLC · Magnetic, thermal and electrical properties across five magnet families

Values are representative nominal/reference values, not certified specifications. Grade designations and tolerances vary by manufacturer; verify against the linked datasheet before design or procurement. Blank cells mean a reliable grade-specific value has not been established.

Grade comparison

αBr: reversible temperature coefficient of remanence (Bᵣ). βHcJ: reversible temperature coefficient of intrinsic coercivity (HcJ). Values are indicative family-level ranges in %/°C near room temperature, repeated for each grade for convenience; they are not grade-specific certifications. The coefficient of normal coercivity (HcB) is not interchangeable with βHcJ. Alnico βHcJ is left unassigned pending a defensible source. Confirm test temperature interval and manufacturer values before applying.

Manufacturer links are reference starting points, not verified grade-specific curve URLs. Compare curves at the intended operating temperature and load line. In particular, do not infer elevated-temperature coercivity from room-temperature grade labels.
